Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Zacks Investment Research, Inc. and its affiliates (“Zacks,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collect, use, share, and protect personal information in connection with this website, the Zacks Data dataset catalog, and the Zacks Investment Research MCP connector and related lead-capture forms (collectively, the “Services”).
Our Services are intended for business and professional use. By using the Services or submitting information through them, you consent to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
a. Information you provide to us
When you submit a request-access form, contact form, or MCP sales-lead form, we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include:
- Your full name and business email address;
- Your company or organization name and team size;
- Your role, intended client (e.g., Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Cursor), and the use case you describe;
- For Business inquiries, the specific Zacks datasets you want pricing on;
- Any additional information you voluntarily include in a free-text field.
b. Information collected automatically
When you visit the Services, our servers and infrastructure providers automatically receive certain technical information, including IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, timestamps, and basic device information. This information is used for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate analytics.
c. Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the site (for example, anti-CSRF tokens and session cookies). We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this site. Your browser settings allow you to refuse or delete cookies; disabling required cookies may prevent forms from functioning.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry and provision access to requested datasets, the MCP connector, or related Zacks products and services;
- Evaluate fit, scope a commercial relationship, and send credentials, contracts, and onboarding materials;
- Communicate with you about service announcements, security notices, and — only where appropriate — product updates related to your request;
- Maintain the security, integrity, and performance of the Services and prevent fraud or abuse;
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests from regulators or law enforcement.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described here:
- Affiliated Zacks entities. We may share information among Zacks Investment Research, Inc. and its affiliates and subsidiaries for the purpose of fulfilling your request or providing related services.
- Service providers. We use vetted vendors for hosting, email delivery (SMTP), error monitoring, and analytics. These providers process information on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality obligations, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Zacks, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If Zacks or any affiliated entity is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
4. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, manage the resulting business relationship, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Inquiries that do not result in a commercial relationship are generally retained for a limited period and then deleted or anonymized.
5. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access or disclosure. These include encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, server hardening, and per-user credentials for the MCP connector. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Email Communications
If we communicate with you by email about our products or services, you can opt out at any time by replying with an unsubscribe request or by contacting us at the address below. Transactional and account-related emails (for example, credential delivery or service notices) may continue regardless of your marketing preferences.
7. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you reside, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your information, and the right to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@zacksdata.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
California residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the right to know what personal information we collect about you, request deletion or correction of that information, and opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@zacksdata.com. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
EEA, UK, and other jurisdictions
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with comprehensive data protection laws, our legal basis for processing your information is typically your consent (when you submit a form), our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Services, or compliance with a legal obligation. You may have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no industry-standard interpretation of these signals, the Services do not currently respond to them. We do not engage in cross-site behavioral advertising.
10. Third-Party Links
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services (for example, AI client applications such as Claude or ChatGPT). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties; review their privacy policies before providing personal information to them.
11. International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States, and information we collect is processed in the U.S. and may be transferred to or stored in other countries where we or our service providers operate. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of your information to the U.S., which may have different data protection rules than your country.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through a prominent notice on the Services or, where appropriate, by direct contact.
